We set ourselves the target of starting the introductory podcasts and here they are. We are going to take the 'Pass it on' approach starting with Karen and Michelle. We want to keep these light, fun and quick, so we will be following a format. Once you have been introduced, it is your chance to pick the next person from the group. We can build a catalogue of these and hopefully learn a little bit more about each other, as well as podcasting at the same time.

Jacqui Cooper - Breathing techniques to help with anxiety and stress
The Joy of the breath (click the image for the recorded session), led by Jacqui Cooper. Breathing techniques to de-stress and reduce anxiety. Wouldn’t it be lovely to simply ‘let go and let flow’ and free yourself from emotional baggage that disempowers you? Most of us, at some point, ‘lock down’ emotions in our bodies through fear of expressing them, which can harbour feelings of resentment, anger, shame, grief, sadness & guilt. Emotion is simply energy in motion and when we resist expressing emotions they become embedded in our nervous system layer after layer after layer. This can impact our emotional state and often results in feelings of anxiety, stress and depression to name a few. The good news is that by changing your breathing pattern you can start to shift the stuff you have been hanging onto! In this session you will learn about the power of the breath and how even just a little bit of movement and breathwork can help to detoxify and de-stress the body. As a result these practices offer you ways to feel more energised, balanced, empowered, calm and connected. |
Kelly Thistlethwaite - Identify signs of stress

Kelly ends the session with a recap of the most important tools and a lovely meditation. |
